This book is not a novel, is part of a serial, so you must have read the previous one, and it doesn’t end, by any means, it just stops until the next one. If this was a series of books, each would be a self-contained story that adds to the overarching one; but is not the case, and this book lacks beginning, middle and end.The plot is interesting, but you have to suspend all disbelief to enjoy the book, because is full of nonsenses: from the way the Dragons are used (and they allow it), that is more akin to horses and not the intelligent creatures they are; to the several ridiculous decisions the protagonist makes; to the nerve-racking lack of any fight/survival/self-defense skills of the protagonist. The characters are dull, there is no development, and in the case of the MC there is even some retrogression.
I wish these books were 10 times longer...feel like I excelled at speed reading without even trying! At first, in book one, I was waiting for the Dragon Riders of Pern shoe to drop. It never did. What an amazing story. So much is going on at the same time and still so easy to read. Incredibly the author can keep 10 plates in the air while keeping me on the edge of my seat. The only problem I have with the books is really that the author seems to need sleep instead of writing every second of the day. Hurry please, Jessica.
Jessica Drake has written a wonderful continuation to her Dragon fantasy. Zara, the hero of the story, is a take charge, quick witted, sarcastic person who cares very much about her friends and what is right and what is wrong. With her friends and her sole-mate Dragon Lessie she ends up being sucked into different adventures that test her skills. This is the type of book that you like to read from start to end with as few breaks as possible.
Flight of the Dragon continued smoothly on from the first book in the series and it was just as enjoyable. There were only a few sentences that reminded you of important occasions in the first book the rest was all wonderful fantasy adventure. I recommend this book for teens and up and I’m sure you’ll want to read the series again, thanks Jessica for such an enjoyable book.
Zara and her dragon Lessie keep trying to do the right things, but the road blocks just pile up in front of them. I think Jessica Drake as done an excellent job of creating characters you want to know. The books move at a fast pace and soon your at the end wanting the next one. I recommend this book
Good old fashioned sci fi. Just when I thought no one was writing it anymore. Been needing this book ever since the Dragon Riders of Perm ended.
Never , wanted to put it down . The store keeps getting better and more intriguing in each new novel
She has to fly with her young inexperienced dragon. Starting in her dragon riders school were learning is what she needs. Zara beguin another adventure.
