The story tells us how these children are just as important as our own. Thank goodness for Mr. and Mrs. Mulli who sacrificially give and give and give some more. Against all odds, their faith is strong. If you want to be challenged, or enlightened or even be filled with hope that there really are good people out there, read this book.
I purchased the book as a gift for my parents after friends saw the movie. My mom who usually is not a big reader could not put the book down.
This book tells the story of Charles Mulli's journey and his tireless work with street children in Kenya. He is an amazing man, a true saint of current times. Inspirational and truly amazing. Be prepared to be awed by what this man has accomplished.
Charles Mulli is a man with a mission and with a vision. Understanding what it is to grow up with nothing and then through hard work to create a successful life for himself and his family, he has chosen to help the helpless, to devote his life to rescuing children from the streets of Kenya's cities. After reading "Father to the Fatherless" we can understand what an impact one person can have who chooses the unfailing riches in heaven over temporal wealth on this earth. To have over 700 children calling you "Father", now that is amazing! Mulli's story is told in a captivating way, and I'm sure will be an inspiration and challenge to all readers of this book.
I watched Mully the movie and then read the book. It's a rare, inspiring story and one I highly recommend.

It shows how powerful one man can be when he has the Lord.
What a great read! A story of faith in a God who is faithful! A man who took God at His word and trusted Him resulting in young lives saved and changed.
